Makatas Dancers is a mentorship program that teaches girls traditional African dances, and the Makatas Heart Foundation, which works to advance education in Liberia.

The Sutter Suzuki Studio is striving towards functioning as an anti-racist studio, both as a community of people and as a business, through their practices inside and outside of the violin studio. They believe Dr. Suzuki's vision of “every child can” must include racial and economic justice.
